Continuing to expand its reach worldwide, Cebuana Lhuillier recently sealed a partnership with KEB Hana Bank (formerly Korea Exchange Bank), a financial institution based in Seoul. Adding to its international remittance service, the linkage marks Cebuana Lhuillier’s first partnership with a South Korean bank.
Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, states that the milestone deal between the two brands is a tremendous opportunity as both aim to cater to the estimated 63,000 Filipinos based in South Korea. “Having a common vision and principles in customer service, I believe KEB Hana Bank is an ideal partner that can help us in serving Filipinos in Korea. We are excited and very optimistic with this new venture as it will finally answer the apparent need for a fast and secure money remittance service between these two countries,” he said.
Through this partnership, Filipinos can now send cash remittance from Korea through any of KEB Hana Bank’s 357 branches in the country to be paid out through any of Cebuana Lhuillier’s more than 1,800 branches in the Philippines.
